Mouth Guard Camera

Below is the step by step process of the mouth guard camera. Using the simple touch of an iPhone cover as an attachment for filming with an iPhone, I started by sanding and shaping a piece of metal which I will attach the iPhone case to using a glue gun. I made sure the metal was malleable and long enough.

After, I tried to glue gun the mouth guard to the metal frame. This did not work as there wasn’t a large enough surface area to glue so that it will still hold the weight of the iPhone/ Metal. Instead u used pop-rivets and to do so i drilled to 3.5cm holes through the mouth guard facing up so that the pop-rivets would not stop my teeth from holding the mouth guard.

This may look dangerous and uncomfortable, but it is surprisingly comfortable and holds well and stable whilst in my mouth. I can also use both my hands and i am not restricted in anyway when filming my surroundings. Above you can see the development from designing a full head brace to a simple invention using your mouth.

The ‘Mouth Guard Camera’ can now be used to film the third arm man from a interesting view of the user it also cancels out having to used more hands, including another camera man. But most importantly does not show the person behind me, who is the ‘extra arm’.
